hello out there...
it's me. i have nothing significant to say tonight (do i ever?) but it feels like a blog-time. maybe my fingers will do the thinking for me and create something insightful. and maybe not. just in case, continue reading with no expectations of greatness, if you will. or will not.
i admire kurt vonnegut. go read his stuff. read 'man without a country.' now.
okay, you can finish reading this first. (but i can promise you that vonnegut will be much more entertaining.)
so i'm a long distance girlfriend again. and i'm trying to put it into perspective -- after all, this 30-45 mile distance is much shorter than, oh, 1000. but sometimes it feels like the number of miles don't matter. it's really just the underlying fact: i can't see the one i love when i need/want to. or more importantly, when he needs me.
i'm slightly 'engaged-obsessed.' i'm not engaged (please don't misread!), but i'm a little overly anxious for it. it has become a long-standing joke between me and, well, everyone i know. i hope it does not come across as just desperation. i'm not desperate. however, i am lucky. and smart enough to know i am. i have a very good man that i am anxious to be with, with no miles to separate us at all.
i'm also very anxious for summer break. although i'm spending 88% of it working on school-related things, the key is - a break from the students. the every day attempt to make literature interesting to never read. ever.
i'm going to go read some vonnegut. you should too.

Good things come to those who wait.
