redeeming...

okay, now it's time to redeem myself. i'm not completely cliche in my interests and fashions. sometimes, i might surprise people. and i have my boyfriend and former students to thank for opening my eyes to most of it.

iron and wine. although i do like rap music, i like alternative music even more. as i've posted before, iron and wine is my absolute favorite. i also like sufjan stevens and kimya dawson and
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. and other movies most people "don't get." others... 'the squid and the whale,' 'closer,' and 'big fish.'
classic literature. i actually enjoy reading classics. not just that - but classic poetry. most modern books bore me with their predictable plots and stereotypical characters. i much prefer books that make me think.
scarves. okay, maybe lots of people wear scarves. but most people don't wear them as often as i do. it's kind of my 'thang.'
