where did june go?
i cannot believe it is already july. i think i spent june in a whirlwind. after grading the ap exams, i came home in the middle of preparation for my brother's wedding. two days after that, i left for florida for a school conference. two days after that, i turned 30. two days later, i went to georgetown for a conference. i'm home now, and i'm exhausted. my fridge is empty. i have 3 different suitcases - still somewhat full - on my kitchen floor. my cat keeps giving me evil looks. i think it's time to stop for a moment and actually enjoy summer.
and being 30? is it possible to enjoy being 30?
throughout my bday celebration, i realized several things, the one most important: i'm old. too old to stay out drinking until 3 am. i used to do that every weekend. every weekend! i did it on friday and i swear on sunday i was still recovering. insanity.
honestly i have nothing of interesting to talk about but my sister, who reads my blog periodically, is actually completely caught up. evidently i am not.
so here ya go, sis. a random, boring post. but a post nonetheless. :)

Thanks!
You're not that old. Hey, your 4-year-older sister kept up with you all night on your birthday. :)
I'm happy you're back in town for awhile, also. Too bad you're leaving again in a few weeks.
Enjoy your summer. Let's take Amira swimming soon.
