the world as i see it

everybody thinks someone out there wants to know their opinions. their problems. their life story. i guess i'm no different.

shoutout to my speechies

forgive me while i take a moment to reminisce about the good ole days - the days of bethlehem speech team. i had a poetry moment this weekend and wanted to share...

i walk through the lobby of Garrett Conference Center at WKU and suddenly the room transforms. the empty air is filled with tense gayety and hyper anxiety (not to mention overwhelming flirtations). the bare walls are slowly covered in postings: poetry... humorous interpretation... it goes on. the vacant chairs and couches are filled with loud, eccentric teenagers staring at the walls, waiting to witness their names on the coveted boards.
my feet naturally take me to the restroom -- back corner of the room -- although it's been years since i stepped foot on that linoleum floor. for a brief moment, i hear lasure's giggle. i feel jared z's arm around my shoulders.
and then all falls silent.
