the world as i see it

everybody thinks someone out there wants to know their opinions. their problems. their life story. i guess i'm no different.

idiosyncrasies

i pick the beans out of my chili.
and that's not all.
i like potato soup - but i only eat the broth. not the potatoes.
i'm not a big fan of potatoes, at all. the texture of potatoes gross me out. as a result, i'm incredibly picky when it comes to french fries.
speaking of french fries, i almost always order them but i very rarely eat half of them. i just order them so that i can have a side item. i always have to have a side item when i eat, no matter what.
and it doesn't end with food.
ever since an asian lady at a manicure place told me i have nice cuticles, i'm slightly obsessed with keeping my nice cuticles. usually, when i'm bored, i'm fixing my cuticles.
i fidget. a lot. just ask my students.
when i go to restaurants, if i'm craving a coke, i'll usually order coke and a water. it makes me feel better about ordering a coke, if i have a glass of water beside it.
and i usually drink so much, i'll have to get refills on both.
i snore.
i'm allergic to the cold. seriously. since last winter, my legs and arms will break out into hives if i'm exposed to the cold for very long.
i pretty much live off of zyrtec. without it, i'm a mess.
i prefer falling asleep to the sounds of a television.
i think people can learn a lot about marriage and parenthood from the cosby show.
i know every song on 'the sound of music' soundtrack. and i'm proud of that.

that's me, defined by all... well, some... of my idiosyncrasies.

Cool. You are definitely different, but that's why we like you.

I was thinking... If you are allergic to the cold, how could you ever live in Michigan?!
