what love can do...

today is thanksgiving.
today, most people are with their families. they are surrounded by good food, card games, family conversations, and of course, the occasional heated debate. after filling their tummies full of grandma's dumplins and aunt janet's pie, they lie around on the couch, falling asleep to the sound of laughter and football.
that's most people.
i, however, am in midland, michigan. i ate my thanksgiving meal at ponderosa (complete with pumpkin pie and everything!). i'm surrounded by the sounds of fingers typing as we blog and facebook and email. i'll probably fall asleep to the sound of my phone vibrating to the text messages of close friends and family. they are far away - but i'm here. with jesse. and only jesse.
and i'm happier than i would be anywhere else.
