home

since jesse's been back to kentucky (one week!), my house has started to feel more like home.
first, there's the technical stuff. jesse and i spent a lot of time replacing light bulbs, hanging prints, and taking down Christmas decorations. That, of course, inspired me to clean up papers and finish up laundry. Now, I have a kitchen table worth eating on, a bedroom with an observable floor, and a spare bedroom that looks more like a bedroom than a storage room. It's amazing what a little home improvement can do to a person's mood.
then, there's the personal stuff. today i cooked hamburger helper for supper, then made chocolate chip cookies for dessert. the other night, we had hot tea while we watched 90210, season 1 (thank god it's finally on DVD!). for several nights in a row, i've fallen asleep on the couch while jesse was on the computer or at the other end.
even though the temperature outside is dropping dramatically... my house has never felt so cozy or warm. or more like home.

You've mentioned Jesse, you and your house, but what about the one thing that has had to sacrifice the most and has held down the fort...poor Moe!
