the world as i see it

everybody thinks someone out there wants to know their opinions. their problems. their life story. i guess i'm no different.

about me

somewhere between childhood and adulthood (otherwise known as 'puberty') when everybody else was deciding to be an artist or a jock or a nerd or whatever - i stood, staring at the menu in confusion. i couldn't choose a personality. i wanted to sit in a coffee shop then dance on the bar in a club. i wanted to sway to indie music then blare hip hop from my windows. i wanted to write poetry before watching the rival basketball game. i wanted to sip on hot tea before ordering a glass of wine. i moved from menu item to menu item, never satisfied with the limitations of each (even now, i can't have just one item for a meal - i'll order a french fries knowing i'll only eat five, because i can't settle on just one thing).
now, years after that awkward "coming of age" i'm still trying to find myself. trying to decide which personality on the menu board fits me best.

you go ahead. i'll be in line for awhile.
