bump
the other day i was driving near a construction site when i saw a bright orange warning sign that simply said: bump. i laughed to myself at the simplicity and oddity of that sign. "bump" just bump. of course, a few feet later, I indeed hit a bump - and if not for the warning, I probably would've been driving too fast and damaged my car.
wouldn't it be nice if, in life, we were given "bump" signs? a little warning that told us to slow down... be careful... there is a bump ahead. so that when we are racing down the road, singing to the music, thinking all is carefree - and we're about to come across a bump. a bump that could damage us. a bump that would shake us up and shift us to the side... we had a sign. just a warning.
just a "bump"
