nothing much to say...
for the 17th time this week, i'm sitting on blogger.com with the desire to post and absolutely nothing of interest to say. so here are some ramblngs from me on a beautiful wednesday morning.
right now it's harry potter time. and i'm harry potter obsessed. i've seen the new movie twice already and i may be going again tonight (but it's in 3D this time!). the new book comes out on saturday so i will be in hibernation until i finish it. i'm going to relish it though. it's the last book of the series and i'm not too excited that it's ending.
i never thought i'd get caught up in the harry potter craziness - but all it took for me was one book. j.k. rowling is a literary genius. to think that she had to create every character, every potion, every game - everything - makes the books that much more interesting.
i went to a wedding the other day. one of my best guy friends got married. i grew up with him and all of his groomsmen. i expected it to be a great time, but i've come to a conclusion: i hate weddings. i really do. i always seem to leave earlier than i should (i left this wedding at midnight and found out later that people stayed until 5 am) but i get insanely bored waiting for the fun to begin. jesse was out of town so i was flying solo, and around the part when the wedding song cliches begin, everyone starts coupling up, and i begin to feel out of place. it never fails.
there's been a lot of drama in my life lately. fortunately, none of it was my own, but those around me need me in those times. it makes me thankful for what i have, but it also makes me realize that there are lots of people in this world that are not as happy as they seem. i'm sure i'm one of them on plenty of occasions. there are also lots of people who don't know what all they have to offer this world. to me, that's just tragic.
the last thing on my mind this morning... where do i want to live... in a year? in five years? when i'm married and raising children? these questions constantly run through my mind as i wait to see where jesse will end up (and hopefully me, if things go the way we expect). small town versus big town. hm. that could be my next blog post...
